I am actually writing this after the Olympics have finished. I couldn't write anything before-hand as I was assigned to an important client, an American called David Koch. His personal fortune is around $25 billion so for the sake of security I had to keep this quiet. He spent the week at various Olympic venues as well as around some of the sights of London and the surrounding area. Accompanied by three of his friends and shadowed everywhere by his security man they enjoyed a very expensive holiday.
Driving around London was surprisingly easy with the famous Olympic Lanes being agreat way to move around in a hurry. I used the one down the Embankment many times on my way to the Olympic Park.
A visit to Windsor for them to see the Castle gave me a chance to get out of the traffic and onto a motorway, helped to blow out the cobwebs.
Mr Koch flew back to the USA the day after the closing ceremony in his private jet that was parked at Luton Airport. Did I get a tip? No. But then again I didn't expect one.
Did I enjoy my 3 weeks of Olympic work? Yes. Would I ever do anything like it again? No! I did not enjoy being away from my family for so long.
Now to enjoy the money I earned :-)
