With this character you know that this is not a family friendly film. The violence is graphic and prolonged and the language is colourful. However the fight scenes are well choreographed and highly thrilling as well as bloody.
The basic premise is that the titular John Wick is the worlds best assassin who wants to retire from his violent profession but circumstances mean he has to go back to carry out one more killing.
Reeves is perfectly suited to this part and he does look right handling the weapons and is a handsome clothes horse for the sharp suits that his character wears.
The film's pace is high and leads you through Wick's increasingly dangerous story and sets up for a rather rip roaring Chapter 3.
